I rebuild parts that
outlived their drawings.
I'm a mechanical engineer in Chicago. Today I reverse-engineer steam turbine blades, diaphragms and rotating hardware at Power Services Group — taking decades-old power-plant components, scanning them with blue-light metrology, and rebuilding them as parametric CAD with shop-ready 2D drawings.

PSG keeps the world's installed base of steam turbines spinning. Most of those machines are older than their OEM drawings.
Scan
Capture geometry from a customer's used or sample part with an ATOS blue-light 3D scanner. Mesh data is cleaned, aligned and registered against datums.
ATOS Q · GOM Scan
Model
Bring the mesh into Geomagic Design X, extract feature trees, and rebuild the part as a fully parametric SolidWorks model with production-ready 2D drawings.
Geomagic Design X · SolidWorks
Inspect
After manufacturing, scan the finished piece and run it through GOM Inspect Professional. Deviation heatmaps and dimensional reports certify the part is in tolerance before it ships.
GOM Inspect Pro
What I Deliver
- Parametric SolidWorks models of legacy turbine blades, diaphragms, packing rings, fasteners and discs.
- Manufacturing-ready 2D drawings with GD&T, finishes and material callouts.
- First-article inspection reports comparing finished hardware to released CAD.
- Color deviation heatmaps that make tolerance issues legible to non-engineers.
Hardware I've Rebuilt
- · Turbine blades
- · Diaphragms
- · Packing rings
- · Discs & wheels
- · Nozzle blocks
- · Fasteners
- · Shrouds
- · Inner casings
Every part ships into a real overhaul on a real power plant. Tolerances are tight, downtime is expensive, and there is no second chance to ship the wrong geometry.
Capabilities
The full scan → ship loop.
I own the mechanical loop end-to-end: metrology capture, CAD reconstruction, drafting, and final QC inspection. No handoffs between disciplines, no telephone game between scanner and shop.

Mechanical Engineer · Avondale / New Orleans, LA
Cognizant engineer for several piping systems across multiple U.S. Navy ships. Owned all system diagram changes and ship-wide change papers for those systems, and modeled 3D pipe and HVAC arrangements in ShipConstructor and Navisworks Simulate.

Hangar-Bay Gutter Design
Designed a hull-side gutter outside the main vehicle hangar bay to drain rain, sea, and firefighting fluids overboard inside tight under-deck geometry.

Next Step
Have a part with no drawings?
That's the work. Whether it's a turbine blade, a packing ring or a one-off legacy component — if you can put it on a scanner, I can put it back into CAD with a drawing your shop can build from.
