Precision is a discipline.
My work sits at the intersection of 3D scanning, CAD reconstruction, and the slower, dustier problem of returning legacy power plant hardware to spec — turbine blades, diaphragms, and the precision components that surround them.
Before turbines, I was the cognizant engineer on piping and HVAC systems for U.S. Navy ships. The discipline is the same: parts have to fit, drawings have to be correct, and there is no margin for approximate.
